2004

HAGESÜD trades sustainably and responsibly: The certification awarded by the independent certification agency BCS Ökogarantie GmbH for organic agriculture is extended until 2005.

2002

HAGESÜD quality - signed, sealed and certified: Our DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certification is successfully extended until 2005.

1998

A fully automatic high-bay warehouse with more than 4000 storage compartments goes into operation in Hemmingen. HAGESÜD also launches their website.

1989

Another sister plant is built in Ottensoos, near Nuremberg.

1986

The world's most advanced spice and seasoning plant with a computer-integrated manufacturing system is built from scratch in Hemmingen and begins operating.

1976

Richard Scheu and Heinz Häussermann transfer responsibility for the management of the company to business graduate Peter Scheu and his twin brother Richard Scheu. The brothers continue to manage the business today.

1974

Growth market convenience foods: The idea of ready-seasoned meat opens up a whole new set of market opportunities.

1970

In Dortmund the company builds a new, modern production plant covering an area of 10,000 m².

1968

KNACKS - another HAGESÜD innovation. The first liquid cutting agent is well received by the industry.

1966

HAGESÜD AG (a public limited company) becomes HAGESÜD GmbH (a limited liability company).

1965

A pioneering raw sausage maturing system - NITROSIN - is launched.

1956

A HAGESÜD innovation revolutionizes the market: HAGESÜD brings the industry's first injectable liquid ham curing brine on to the market.

1946

The destroyed factory facilities in Stuttgart are rebuilt after the end of the Second World War.

1938

HAGESÜD expands with the founding of a sister plant in Dortmund.

1921

The company is taken over by the Handelsgesellschaft des süddeutschen Häuteverwertungsverbandes GmbH, a South German trade association for hide and skin utilization, and operates thereafter under the name HAGESÜD Süddeutsche Handelsgesellschaft für das Fleischereigewerbe AG (South German trade association for the butchers' trade).

1881

The company is founded in Stuttgart by the chemist Otto Leupold.
